Birthday Party
Site-specific participatory performance initially created for Cross Attic multidisciplinary art-space.People are invited to spend the time as if it was their own birthday.
The audience (10 people) gather at the starecase waiting untill a special person comes to guide them up to the attic.
The performance is delayed. Artists are finishing last preparations. To kill the time one of the artists entertains the visitors with polaroid camera, meanwhile asking them, what they want to have for a birhday present.
Finally the visitors get the key and the instruction to proceed one by one.
What is waiting for them there? A mysterious atmosphere, a dream like reality, a pleasant confusion. A series ofsituations is arranged to bring the awareness to such basic and important questions as: “Who are you?” “What do you really want?” «What is your real wish?”
A t the end participants find themselves sitting around the Birthday table.
